Presentation at "My Parents are Superheroes" event

Sheldon and Emerson were invited to do a talk at "My Parents are Superheroes" event at The ParkCity Club in Desa Parkcity. Theirs was one of the events lined-up. There were other events such as storytelling and musical performance by students of a music school.

Sheldon and Emerson will be conducting a new workshop for children - "Creative Cartooning Workshop", for ages: 6 - 13 years old. This Creative Cartooning Workshop will teach children the basics of cartooning, drawing people, animals, insects, fruits, vegetables, etc. and drawing with numbers and alphabets. The other workshop that they conduct, the Kids Comic Drawing Workshop, will focus on developing a storyline and drawing comics.

Young Cartoonist Talentine

Sheldon and Emerson were invited to do a presentation and drawing demonstration at the Young Cartoonist Talentine, held at Starling Mall, PJ. There was an cartooning competition organised by ADUN Damansara Utama Service Centre, and we were honoured to have met YB Yeo Bee Yin. It was an impromptu invitation by the organiser after noticing them sitting there doodling in their sketchbooks and learning that Sheldon and Emerson conduct cartooning workshops. They managed to step up to the challenge and did a live cartooning demonstration to the crowd.

We also had the opportunity to meet Zunar who was present as well.

Sheldon and Emerson were invited up on stage after the art competition was over to do their presentation whilst the judges were judging the artwork.

Author's talk by Sheldon and Emerson at World Book Day KL Fest 2017

Emerson Chong, 9 years old, gave an author's talk on his newly launched book to the public at the World Book Day KL Fest 2017 on 23 April. He had written and illustrated a children's storybook book entitled "Attack of the Evil Clone", targeted to readers age 7 - 13 years.

Emerson did some live cartooning demonstration, drawing the characters from his book.

Emerson, who just turned 9. He wrote this book when he was 8.5 years old.

Sheldon, 10 years old, also gave an author's talk on his newly launched science fiction book that he authored and illustrated, "The Time Dimension". He also did some live cartooning demonstrations, and drew and explained the characters from his book.

Creative Cartooning Workshop by Emerson Chong at Young Changemakers Summit 2016

Emerson Chong, 8 y.o. received an invitation to conduct a Creative Cartooning Workshop at The Young Changemakers Summit 2016. The summit was held at Pusat Kreatif Kanak-kanak Tuanku Bainun.

The summit was attended by 300 students from various schools around Malaysia.

His workshop was attended by secondary school students from various schools. Emerson started his workshop by introducing himself.

His hobbies are reading and drawing comics, comedy and creating arts and crafts. He wants to be a stand-up comedian. He likes telling jokes. He is also learning ventriloquism via youtube.
